About Chessmust

Chessmust is a free website for playing chess, chess variants (Chess960, Crazyhouse, King of the Hill, Three-check, Antichess, Atomic, Horde, Racing Kings) and Russian checkers. There is no registration, no subscription and nothing to buy, and it works on phones, tablets and computers.

Against the computer, the games run in your browser: the opponent calculates its moves on your device and your games are not sent to a server. When you play with a friend, only the moves pass through our server to connect the two of you, and they are not stored.

The site is supported by advertising. Ads never block the board, and the game works fully if you use an ad blocker.

Your settings, language, theme and the last unfinished game are stored only in your browser and can be removed at any time from the settings.

This project is free software released under the GNU GPL v3. It builds on the open-source projects chessops, Chessground and Fairy-Stockfish; see the third-party license list in the source repository.
